AOL User Note AOL uses thier own compression for image files (.art file) This format is used by AOL to speed up the time to load a web page. AOL by defaut compresses the image files. This file format cannot be used for Action PC Sports games. This setting can be changed by following the instructions: 1. Click on Settings: AOL Help (My AOL in earlier versions) on the icon bar across the top of the window and then select Preferences. 2. When the Preference window opens, click the Internet Properties (WWW) link (WWW icon in earlier versions). 3. In the Internet Properties window that comes up, select the Web Graphics tab 4. Check Never Compress graphics (uncheck the Use Compressed Graphics box for earlier versions). 5. Click the Apply button at the buttom right of the window. 6. Click on OK to close the window. 7. In the Preference window again, click the Font, Text and Graphics link (Graphics icon in earlier versions). 8. Change the Graphical Preferences to the number zero (JPEG Compression quality in earlier versions). Click on Save to close window (click on OK in earlier versions). Emptying AOL browser cache: After making changes, you should empty the browser cache so it will not load any previously viewed .art images. 1. Click on Settings: AOL Help (My AOL in earlier versions) on the icon bar across the top of the window and then select Preferences. 2. When the Preference window opens, click the Internet Properties (WWW) link (WWW icon in earlier versions). 3. In the Internet Properties window that comes up, within the section labeled Temporary Internet files, click the Delete Files button once, Delete Cookies once and then click OK to close the window. Close the Preference window. 4. Now you can browse the World Wide Web and view high quality images the way they should appear.
